Barbara Prey has been recognized as one of the most significant artists of our time, and her work has attracted the attention of major museums including the National Gallery of Art, the Brooklyn Museum, and the Smithsonian American Art Museum.

The goal for Barbara’s project was to upgrade and refresh her existing website to include e-commerce for her published essays and prints. The large size of Barbara’s paintings was a major factor in our updated design as we worked to ensure an online viewing experience that truly communicates the scale, beauty, and detail of Barbara’s paintings. We migrated her domain to Squarespace and utilized her already existing powerful brand. We used large images, clean font, and neutral colors as the background to highlight her artwork and deliver a quietly powerful user experience.
